AL Soneta Birdwatching Club

Al Soneta (Alumni Sekolah Menengah Pertama/Junior High School Alumni) Birdwatching Club established on January 2010. Before becoming a club, Al Soneta was originally a mixed team is formed by Bintang Rantau Randa, Dwi Aji Sujatmiko and Panji Gusti Akbar which was formed to follow the competition Suramadu Water Bird Watching 2010. Beyond expectations, they managed to get a first place competition.
Surprised by his victory, the team then decided to used money they got to develop this mix team into a new club. Because 2 of the 3 initial members of this team is the first high school alumni, so they named it Alumni Sekolah Menengah Pertama (Junior High School Alumni) Birdwatching Club or shortened to Al Soneta Birdwatching Club.

This club has a program to develop Birdwatching become a common hobby to the community, not only among academics and researchers of birds but also to students of schools in Jogjakarta. Club is trying to make a pleasant impression on Birdwatching and make them interested enough to follow. It is expected that eventually they can come to love and be involved in bird conservation activities in Indonesia.
